Management Foundations (student outcomes focus)
Project 2
- Project 2. - Managing people, developing effective workplace relationships and building high performance teams.
Participants will be required to demonstrate competence in at least two different contexts in successfully developing and managing effective workplace relationships, developing workplace learning environments and building top teams, again using project management as the approach.

- Introduction to Elements of Project 2.
- Essential readings and theory.
- Face to face interactions on site (various, as needed – Team development issues discussed as part of these as an ongoing part of mentoring/coaching process)
- Use MindSights to build structures for developing and managing generic interaction processes (meetings, consensus building sessions, problem solving, systems thinking, …).
- Continue to use and build skills with MindSights to develop productive processes for working with and through people.
Additional elements: (Building Outcomes Focused Leadership)
- Introduce 8 sets of issues and skills sub-sets in Team development strategy
- Introduce “Communication & Problem Solving At Work” resource (an online, interactive questionnaire)
- Debriefing and skill building in “Communication & Problem Solving At Work” (Skill development in preparation for Project 3). Set project for participants to build skill across 2 different contexts.
- Professional readings ensure leadership development is oriented towards developing capabilities as opposed to competencies in management.
